What does success look like for your business?

When considering the marketing mix, it is important to consider the goals of your business, but also the length of time you have to see results.

Shorter term solutions take 1-3 months to start working, whereas longer term solutions take 6-12 months.

Short Term Solutions

  • Paid Social Media

    What is it?

Paid social media enables you to create adverts that are seen on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. These ads are targeted to specific audience profiles, and help to reach people that would be interested in your product or service.

    Advantages

Paid social gets your services in front of people who have a problem but have not addressed it yet. They see your ad in their ‘down time’ so that they have time to think about it.

Paid social is very targeted. You have a better chance of sales and enquiries when reaching the right people.

It starts to work very quickly. Businesses can see good conversion. ROI is a metric that shows how much return you generate from money invested. Paid social is very measurable. You can also take advantage of remarketing to put ads in front of people who have expressed an interest.

    Disadvantages

The first month of carrying out Paid Social is spent gathering data. Once you stop paying, the enquiries stop.

    Who is it suitable for?

Businesses wanting to see a quick return on investment. Businesses selling products or looking for an increase in traffic or leads.

  • Pay Per Click

    What is it?

PPC is an Advertising method used to drive traffic to websites. A fee is paid every time an ad is clicked. Your business will appear when people are searching for specific products or services.

A wide selection of search terms are grouped together in an ‘ad group’ - when someone searches on any one of these search terms, they see your ad. Whey they click on it, they go to a page on your website. This gives a high level of conversion into enquiry or sale. Different ad groups go to different pages. The Cost per Click varies for each ‘search term’.

    Advantages

The ads appear at the top of the page.

PPC is very controlled. The ads are monitored very closely. Spend can be increased or decreased as required to get the most out of every penny.

The aim is to spread your budget out over the month.

We can use trackable telephone numbers on the page. You will see exactly how many calls and form fills you get. You will even see metrics like how long the call was, how quickly it was picked up, and the telephone number that called.

    Disadvantages

Once you stop paying the enquiries stop. In the long run, it is more expensive than SEO. The geographic area can be tightly controlled.

    Who is it suitable for?

Product or service based businesses looking for a quick return in terms of sales or generating enquiries. PPC will only work well if people know to search for your product or service.

Long Term Solutions

  • Organic Social Media

    What is it?

One of the challenges for many businesses is that people only think of you when they have a need for a your product or service. Organic social media overcomes this problem, and allows you to put a face to your business.

Organic social media is your presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.

Organic social involves creating content for various social media channels, and helps to build a community and loyal following around your brand.

H10 start by developing a strategy that will help your business reach your business objectives. We then use this to create content pillars, and a content plan that will work well for the business and its audience.

    Advantages

Organic Social Media can be used to ‘join the conversation’ i.e. to engage with people interested in your product or service, who are already using social media channels. It will build brand awareness, which is an important factor for long term growth.

Organic social media will also keep your business front of mind with prospective and existing clients.

We offer a done-for-you service. We work with you to tell you story about your business services and the personality behind the brand. People want to work with organisations that they like and trust.

Effective content allows businesses to get good engagement and traffic, which in turn leads to people making enquiries or engaging services.

Organic social media also allows businesses to engage better with potential customers by promoting other assets such as the website or blog articles.

    Disadvantages

Organic social media management can take some time to see a return. It is also difficult to measure a return in the same way as other methods.

    Who is it suitable for?

Businesses looking to generate awareness and traffic to their website. Also useful for businesses wanting to create a brand community, who are willing to invest over 6 months or more.

  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

    What is it?

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of building your authority with Google and then driving relevant traffic to your business website. The aim is to get your business appearing at the top of Google’s search results.

SEO works for people who have a need for a product or service, it enables them to find you in search engines. It also helps your business stay front of mind.

    Advantages

SEO will generate traffic to websites or web pages, and will help your business get to the top of search engines for relevant search terms. This will help with increasing awareness and conversion.  People searching on Google have a high level of intent – they are looking for your product or service now.

SEO is a very cost-effective way of getting a good position on Google to generate enquiries. Once you are at the top of Google, the enquiries keep coming in. It is then easier to add new search terms (or locations for local SEO).

    Disadvantages

SEO takes around 6 months to start getting a good position, then 9-12 months to get to the top 3.

    Who is it suitable for?

Businesses who want to generate more enquiries. SEO only works well for products or services that people are aware of, and will search for (e.g. Kitchen Fitter, Personalised Clothing, Estate Agent etc).

  • Google Business Profile

    What is it?

Google Business Profile (formerly known as Google My Business) is a tool that enables you to rank for certain services in your local area. Your listing includes information about your business such as your services, reviews, and information on how to contact you. This can be updated and added to on a regular basis.

The business profiles will appear on Google Maps when you search for local results, and acts almost like a mini website.

    Advantages

A Google Business listing is a great way to raise the profile of your business in the local area.

    1. Google Maps appear at the top of the page.
    2. It allows you to share more about what you do with the world, and also makes it much easier for people to contact your business.
    3. It validates your company and builds trust and authority, whilst also enabling you to interact with existing and potential customers through questions and reviews. You can also post updates, and share news.
    4. Relatively low set up cost and low ongoing maintenance cost.
    5. Google listings work particularly well with local SEO.

    Disadvantages

Google Maps does take some consistent input to continue being effective. H10 can manage this for you.

    Who is it suitable for?

Businesses with a physical location and /or service-based businesses.

  • Social Media Training

    What is it?

Social media training is an important part of modern business. It allows businesses to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, as well as build a strong online presence for their brand. Through social media training, businesses can gain the necessary knowledge and skills to utilise social platforms effectively and efficiently.

    Advantages

By investing in social media training, businesses can ensure their employees are confident in managing their own accounts, or those of the business. This will lead to increased productivity, better customer service, and improved customer enquiries. Social media training also helps businesses understand how they can use it to target specific audiences with carefully crafted messages that will deliver maximum reach and engagement. With a comprehensive understanding of how each platform works, businesses can create strategies tailored specifically for their industry and goals.

    Disadvantages

The Masterclass is not a ‘done for you’ solution. Businesses will still need to invest time into social media after attending the Masterclass, even though this time will be dramatically reduced.

    Who is it suitable for?

The Masterclass is suitable for business owners who are starting to use social media and want to ensure they are approaching it in the right way.

It is also useful to anyone who is experienced in using social media, but would like to reduce the time taken, and increase the impact of their business social media.
